Driver Partially Ejected in I-74 Rollover Accident Near Greensburg

Decatur County, IN – A single-vehicle rollover crash on eastbound I-74 near Greensburg Friday evening resulted in eight people being hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office, the driver reported that he was in the left lane when a tire blew out, causing the vehicle to veer off the south side of the interstate around 5:30 p.m.

The vehicle rolled over and came to rest on its roof.

The driver, Celimon Janvier of Indianapolis, was partially ejected and had to be extricated from underneath the vehicle.

Janvier and his seven passengers received treatment at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.

The Decatur County Sheriff’s Office was supported by the Greensburg police and fire departments, Decatur County EMS, and Platinum Towing Service.
