The Nebraska City City Council is set to meet today at 6 p.m.
The agenda features discussions on using ARPA funds for the South Table Creek railroad trestle, purchasing fire department pagers, and holding a public hearing on the Citizen’s Advisory Review Committee. Gloria Glover and Jim Kuhn are candidates for the mayor’s appointment to the committee.
Starting in August, OPPD will have access to city land for a project on South Table Creek, east of Third Street.
Due to a wetter-than-expected May, the city is considering extending the completion deadline for the housing development. Bauer Infrastructure had initially planned to finish grading the city housing development by April 1. Paving of Oak Street is scheduled for July 17, followed by the connection to Grundman Boulevard.
The final completion date may be extended to September 30.
Alysia Warner from the First Baptist Church has requested to close Third Corso between Seventh and Eighth streets for the church’s Sports Challenge parents night on August 2.
